Jess graduated with a BS degree in Civil Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology, Rolla, Missouri in 2001 and has taken coursework in Geotechnical Engineering from MO S&T. Jess has over 12 years experience in consulting engineering and surveying services. His background includes work in construction staking and collection of data used in ALTA/ACSM surveys, topographic surveys, boundary surveys and flood certifications.
Jess holds professional registrations as a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) and an Engineer Intern (EI) in the State of Missouri and is a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors.
Jess was born in Rolla, Missouri and moved to the Sullivan area as a child, attending high school in Sullivan. He and his wife Chastity live in Bourbon, Missouri and have a young son, Chase. They enjoy spending time together as a family and a favorite family vacation spot is on a beach in Florida. Jess is a beef cattle farmer and manages a cow-calf operation in addition to his work with Archer-Elgin.
